Overwhelmed by Hardwood Options?
Choosing hardwood flooring can feel overwhelming — species, plank width, finish, solid vs. engineered. With so many options, it's easy to second-guess yourself. That's where we come in.
We walk you through every choice, bring samples to your home, and handle everything from subfloor prep to final trim work. You get floors you love without the stress of figuring it all out alone.
Installation Methods We Use
Nail-Down Installation
The traditional method for solid hardwood over a plywood subfloor. Each plank is secured with a pneumatic floor nailer, creating a rock-solid connection that lasts decades. This is the gold standard for homes with raised foundations and wooden subfloors.
Glue-Down Installation
Best for engineered hardwood over concrete slabs. A moisture-barrier adhesive bonds the planks directly to the subfloor, preventing movement and reducing hollow spots. Essential for slab-on-grade homes common across Atlanta where nail-down isn't an option.
Floating Installation
Planks click together and rest on top of an underlayment without being fastened to the subfloor. While floating is more common for laminate and luxury vinyl plank, some engineered hardwood products can also be floated. A good choice over radiant heat systems or when you want an easier swap down the road.

Yes. Engineered hardwood is an excellent choice for Atlanta homes because it handles humidity fluctuations better than solid hardwood. It can be installed over concrete slabs, in basements, and over radiant heat systems. We install engineered hardwood using glue-down, floating, or nail-down methods depending on the subfloor type.
